Spring break at Snowshoe means March, and March up here is a different mountain: sunny, soft, warm enough for a hoodie on the lift by noon, and the lines are gone. The season runs to closing day in late March, so a spring break trip lands in the last weeks with the full base still under you. The Spring Fling and the pond skim are the big weekend, costumes and wipeouts and DJs in the Village, and closing day itself is a party on slush.
The Summit condos are our first pick for spring. 103C, 107D, and 202D are a five-minute walk from the Village, which is where every spring event happens, and the deck weather finally arrives. Timbers 3 and Timbers 5 are the whole-house option with a private hot tub for the group. 305 Soaring Eagle and 1208 Silver Creek still ski out the door until the lifts stop.
Two things to know. The exact closing day moves with the weather, so we show the resort's projected date and update it when they call it. And the snow is spring snow: firm first thing, soft by ten, slushy by two. Ski the morning, swim in the afternoon.

Usually yes. The lifts run to closing day in the third or fourth week of March most years, so an early or mid-March spring break lands in the last weeks of the season with the full base still on the hill. The projected closing date is on this page and on our events calendar.
