Inside this guide

Your winter on the mountain

nine chapters, in trip order

Read chapters 3 and 9 before you book, 2 and 6 before you drive, and 4, 5, and 7 once you are here. We don't print prices that change, like lift tickets or lessons. Wherever a detail moves, the guide sends you to the live source instead of guessing.

A note from us

Every pick in this guide is somewhere we actually go.

We have hosted guests at Snowshoe since 2020, and the same questions come up every winter. Where do we get groceries? Do we need four-wheel drive? Which side of the mountain is ours? Where should we eat on the first night? This guide answers all of them, and we update it every season.
