Two things almost every guest asks about before a ski trip: tickets and gear. Here is who actually sells and rents each, and a form that routes your request to the right place, or to us if we are the right place.

Every business on this page is independent, and lift tickets are sold only by Snowshoe Mountain Resort. Wander Luxe Lodgings does not operate, employ, or take payment for any shop listed here, and does not sell or resell lift tickets. We checked each listing in September 2026 against the provider's own site or web search. Tell us if anything here is out of date.
Lift tickets
Honest version: we checked, and Snowshoe Mountain Resort is the only seller of its own lift tickets. We could not find a pre-arrival ticket delivery or concierge purchase service for the mountain, so we are not going to pretend we sell tickets or can get you a better price. Tell us your dates and how many in your party, and we will reply with the current best way to buy: the resort's own site or the ticket window, whichever is faster that week.

Gear rental
Four shops we verified: the resort's own rental counter at the base, two independent shops with their own locations, and one that will bring the gear to the house. Tell us dates, ages, heights, and shoe sizes, and we will pass it to a shop or point you to the fastest option for your group.
Snowshoe Village, at the base by the Ballhooter lift · On the mountain
The resort's own rental shop: skis, snowboards, and boots in winter, mountain bikes in summer and fall, right where the lifts start.
No drive, no separate stop. The default if you land without a plan.
Soaring Eagle Lodge and Slatyfork, WV · On the mountain, or about 10 min from the valley shop
Independent, family owned ski and snowboard rental with two locations: one inside Soaring Eagle Lodge, one in the valley on Route 219.
Two spots under one roof, so a line at one is a short drive to the other.

Slaty Fork and Silver Creek, WV · About 5 to 10 min from most homes
The Southeast's largest independent ski and snowboard rental company, with a base shop at the junction of US-219 and Snowshoe Road plus a second location, Snowcreek Mountain Sports, near Silver Creek. Mountain bike rentals too.
Open before the lifts and after they close, and the only shop we found that does its own ski and board repair.

Delivers to Snowshoe and Silver Creek lodging · To your door
An independent delivery service: they bring ski and snowboard gear to the house and fit it there instead of a shop line.
The only service we found that skips the rental counter entirely, worth it for a big group on arrival day.
