The Summit is the neighborhood on North Mountain a five-minute walk from the Village, which is the whole pitch: dinner, the Rink, Split Rock Pools, the Ballhooter lift, and Wildcat Grocery are all on foot, and the free resort shuttle stops at the Summit when the snow is flying. We have three condos there. 107D Summit was freshly renovated in November 2023 and the stone fireplace is the room everyone ends up in. 202D Summit was completely redone in December 2021 and has the second-floor view. 103C Summit is the quiet one, with a patio into the trees and Wildcat right up the driveway.
All three are three bedrooms and two baths. 202D sleeps 10, 107D sleeps 9, 103C sleeps 8. Deer walk past the decks most mornings; there is a grill on each deck for the evenings. None of the three has a hot tub, and the Summit buildings do not allow pets, so a private hot tub or a dog means a Timbers cabin instead.
Parking is two cars in front of any Summit building, first come first served, with two hang-tag passes in each condo. Overflow is a paid lot near the Village or free at Top of the World, a two-minute drive. And the Summit condos have no air conditioning, which at 4,800 feet is rarely missed: it drops into the 50s at night most of the summer.
