Winter at Snowshoe is skiing on three mountain faces, night skiing and tubing at Silver Creek, and snowmobile tours; summer is the Bike Park, Shavers Lake, golf, and a festival most weekends. The Village, the Rink, and the state parks and rivers around us run all year. Filter by season or type, add what you like to a day plan, and read our tips before you book anything.
Not just a ski town
Skiing is only half the year. The Bike Park, Shavers Lake, hiking, and a mountain full of fall color keep guests coming back in the warm months. A quick look from our channel; nothing loads until you press play.

Free, and worth the walk
The swing sits at the top of the mountain with the whole valley behind it. It is the photo every guest sends us, so here is ours, in summer, fall, and winter.

Nothing planned yet. A good first day in summer: the Bike Park in the morning, Shavers Lake after lunch, and dinner in the Village. In winter: first chair, Split Rock Pools at four, and the tube park after dark.
Thanksgiving week to late March. Lifts turning, night skiing at Silver Creek, and the tube park.

A 6-story, 8-lane tubing hill with 2-hour sessions. Minimum height 36" for the main hill; a smaller no-rope-tow area for younger/shorter kids.
Book the evening session. The hill is lit, the crowd thins, and the lodge fire is right there afterward.

One-hour guided tours after lifts close, plus backcountry tours to the Fire Tower and Airport (weather and snowpack dependent). Drivers must be 16+ with a license; passengers 6+ and 46" tall.

Our summer guests come for this. Rent at the base, ride Ballhooter, and wash the bike at the station behind the Summit D building.

Good to know
Split Rock Pools, Shavers Lake watercraft, the rock wall, and scenic lift rides are covered by the resort's Summer Fun Pass, which is free only for guests who book lodging through the resort itself. Our guests buy the day pass or pay the per-activity rate. Prices above are what was published when we last checked; the resort changes them each season, so treat them as a guide and confirm at the Mountain Adventure Center in the Village.

Deeper dives: hiking, biking, Shavers Lake, Split Rock Pools, fly fishing, and the drives off the mountain. Hungry after any of it, the dining guide has every table on the hill, groceries and gas covers the stop on the way in, and private chefs is the night off.
No. The Summer Fun Pass is included only for guests who book lodging through the resort itself.
Staying with us, you buy the day pass at the Mountain Adventure Center or online, or pay per activity at the lake, the pools, or the rock wall. Most of our families buy the pass for a lake day and skip it on Bike Park days.
The spring closure (early April to about May 21) and the fall closure (mid-October to Thanksgiving week) shut the lifts and most of the Village, but the Rink and Adventure Playground at Mountain Lodge stay open, Raven Golf Club opens mid-April, and the hiking, fly fishing, Cass Scenic Railroad, and the state parks around the mountain never close.
Rates on our homes are lowest in those weeks.
Winter: the Coca-Cola Tube Park at Silver Creek, ski school, Split Rock Pools, and the Rink. Summer: Shavers Lake's beach, dock, and inflatables, the Adventure Playground, the zipline and rock wall, scenic lift rides, and the Village Scoop on the walk home.
