Two of our seven homes take dogs: Timbers 3 and Timbers 5, across the street from each other in the Timbers, a quiet ten-home neighborhood on South Mountain. Both are whole log cabins with a private hot tub and a fireplace, and the road through the neighborhood makes a natural morning loop toward the Soaring Eagle lift. Timbers 3 has two dedicated parking spaces; Timbers 5 has a 1.5-car garage plus three more in the driveway. We put doggy-bag stations outside both cabins so you do not have to pack a roll.

The five condos cannot take pets, and it is not our rule. 103C, 107D, and 202D Summit, 305 Soaring Eagle, and 1208 Silver Creek are in buildings whose HOA rules do not allow them, and we cannot make exceptions there. If the dog is coming, it is a Timbers cabin.

How it works: tell us when you book, or text us the breed and size. Cats, birds, and other pets are welcome too, at the same fee, just tell us exactly what you're bringing so we know what to expect. We approve in writing before you arrive, never at the door. The pet fee is $250 per stay, paid at booking, and it covers the extra clean. Outside the house a dog stays on a leash with a person on the other end. Inside, the house is yours.

Prices, where shown, are live from our calendars and include cleaning and tax. Book direct and skip the platform booking fee, about 10% on most stays.

What to know

  • Pet fee: $250 per stay, paid at booking. Damage, if any, is billed at cost under the pet agreement.
  • Dogs, or other pets, only at Timbers 3 and Timbers 5. The condos' HOA rules do not allow pets, no exceptions.
  • Approval is in writing before arrival. Text us the breed and size, or if it's a different pet, what it is.
  • The nearest vet is in Marlinton, about 45 minutes down the mountain. Pack your pet's records.

Which Snowshoe rentals allow dogs?

How much is the pet fee?

$250 per stay, paid at booking. It covers the extra clean. Any damage is billed separately at cost, as the pet agreement in your booking spells out.

Do I need to ask before bringing my dog or other pet?

Yes. Dogs are approved ahead of time, in writing, before you arrive, and it's the same for any other pet, cat, bird, or otherwise. Tell us when you book or text us the breed and size, or what the pet is, and we confirm. Nobody gets surprised at the door.
