When does Snowshoe close for the season?
Closing Day is usually the third or fourth Sunday of March. The date for the coming season is on our event calendar once the resort publishes it.

What is open
Ski season, closing in the second half of the month
- Skiing and riding until Closing Day, usually the third or fourth Sunday of March
- Spring events: College Weekend, the pond skim, and the park contests
- Split Rock Pools and the Village through the end of the season
Closed or not running
- The Bike Park, Shavers Lake activities
- Raven Golf Club until mid-April
Silver Creek, home of the night skiing, closes a couple of weeks before the main mountain (March 7 in the 2026-27 schedule). The lifts stop on Closing Day, and then the spring closure starts, so check the date before you book the last week of March.

Is March good for skiing at Snowshoe?
Early and mid March usually still has a solid base and averages more new snow than November. Late March is spring skiing: soft snow, warmer days, and the season winding down.
