Late January through February, midweek if you can. January is the snowiest month on average and February usually has the deepest base. MLK and Presidents' Day weekends are the busiest of the winter, and the weeks around them are much quieter.

When to be careful

Christmas to New Year's, MLK weekend, and Presidents' Day weekend are the busiest days on the mountain. They are great trips if you book the home, the lessons, and the dinners early. Late March is a gamble on snow; the last week before Closing Day can be thin or glorious.
