NOVEMBER 26 | Official Opening Day (weather permitting) Drop the ropes and let the good times roll. We’re kicking off the season with fresh corduroy, high-fives, and first chair bragging rights. Wax up and get ready for another great season. *weather permitting
NOVEMBER 27 | 10th Annual Snowshoe Turkey Shoot No actual turkeys are harmed in the making of this mountain tradition. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just wingin’ it, it’s all gravy.
NOVEMBER 28 | Turkey Trek 5k presented by Smartwool Burn off that stuffing with a scenic 5k through the mountains. Costumes encouraged, trail shoes recommended, and post-run pie? Absolutely.
DECEMBER 6-12 | Kids Ski Free Week Groms 12 & under ride free with a paying adult all week long. Start building their shred cred!
DECEMBER 7 | West Virginia Ski Free If you’ve got a WV ID, you’ve got a lift ticket. Locals ride free today—come show us how it’s done, Mountain State style. Must show proof of WV state residency to redeem your ticket. State or Government issued photo ID’s are the only acceptable forms for proof of WV residency.
DECEMBER 19 | Silver Creek Opening Day (weather permitting) Silver Creek’s back in action! Light up the slopes under the stars, catch wide open slopes in the middle of the day, and take a spin on the rope tow in Mountaineer Park. *weather permitting.
DECEMBER 20 | Creek Rail Jam Ring in a new Silver Creek season with Mountaineer Parks Rail Jam under the lights! Whether you’re sending or spectating, this jam is all about style and stoke.
DECEMBER 24 | Village Christmas Celebration – Village It’s a holly jolly party in the Village! Bring the fam and your best ugly sweater. Don’t miss your last chance to give Santa your Christmas list before his long voyage. Serenade Santa as you sing along to Holiday tunes with an acoustic set by Sandy. Grab a picture with Santa, cup of cocoa, cookie, and a candy cane.
DECEMBER 26 | Darn Tough Scavenger Hunt Hunt down clues across the mountain and score some Darn Tough Vermont socks.

JANUARY 2 | The North Face Scavenger Hunt Suit up, keep your eyes peeled, and crack the clues to score gear from The North Face.
JANUARY 31- FEBRUARY 1 | SARA (Southern Alpine Racing Association) Slalom and Giant Slalom style gate racing for ski members of the US Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA). Fast turns, tight gates, and serious speed.
FEBRUARY 2 | Cupp Run Challenge The OG Snowshoe race. Giant slalom down the legendary Western Territory. Bragging rights and quad burn guaranteed. FEBRUARY 7 | W.V. Open Freestyle Comp – Silver Creek Night Compete for a Cash Purse at the newly-minted Snowshoe Open Freestyle Comp! Mountaineer Park brings a creative and challenging course loaded with rail features, jumps, and shreddy surprises for you to win big!
FEBRUARY 14 | Smith Scavenger Hunt Mystery, adventure, and Smith swag. That’s true love.
FEBRUARY 20 | CROSS Course - Skiercross/Boardercross Course Access Enjoy the Spruce Banked Slalom course ahead of the weekend USASA races. No coaching included but schedule a private session with Snowshoe Ski & Ride School for a leg up!
FEBRUARY 21-22 | USASA Boardercross and Skiercross As host to the Appalachian Series Skier/Boardercross races, Snowshoe will welcome head-to-head competitions where racers tackle our dynamic Spruce Banked Slalom Course.
FEBRUARY 28-MARCH 1 | Darn Tough Banked Slalom Prove your mettle and claim your rank in your ski & snowboarding posse with a timed race down a dynamic Banked Slalom with berms, turns, jumps and rollers on the infamous Spruce Run.
MARCH 7-8 | Snowshoe Pride Weekend | College Weekend Ride all day, vibe all night. Everyone’s welcome!
MARCH 13-14 | Spring Fling Music & Pond Skim | Presented by Sierra Nevada & WRV Live tunes, cold brews, and the iconic pond skim. Costumes encouraged, wipeouts celebrated. Spring is springing at this fan favorite. Set your sites on DJ sets, Après parties, and more to celebrate the meltdown.
MARCH 22 | West Virginia Ski Free Day One more chance for WV locals to ride free. Bring your ID, your crew, and your best moves. Must show proof of WV state residency to redeem your ticket. State or Government issued photo ID’s are the only acceptable forms for proof of WV residency.
MARCH 22 | Snowshoe Closing Day Last run? Never heard of her. We’re saying goodbye to winter the Snowshoe way: with our boots full of snow and our hearts full of memories.

Snowshoe Mountain, located in Pocahontas County in West Virginia, is the largest winter East Coast ski resorts in the mid-Atlantic. Two black diamond trails comprise an area called the Western Territory, boasting a 1,500-foot vertical drop, 60% pitch and 1.5 miles in length. Two distinct mountains are skiable on one lift ticket. The Village of Snowshoe features high-quality lodging, restaurants and plenty of shopping. Skiers and snowboarders will find 15 acres of expanded terrain at the Snowshoe area of the resort. Total ski resort acres are 244.
